Early beginnings
The founder and inventor of the Genuine Pritchard Original Teat, Jack Pritchard, had a creative knack for fixing and solving problems. One of these problems was that many orphaned lambs and other animals had difficulty getting the food and nutrients that they needed, and existing methods for solving the issue weren’t particularly effective.
Eventually, Jack created what later became the Genuine Pritchard Original Teat, an invention that would go on to help hundreds of thousands of animals around the world.
With its unique patented design, the Genuine Pritchard Original Teat is the closest artificial teat replacement to the real thing on the market. Jack designed it to be both affordable and easy-to-use. There was always a heavy focus on quality as well; poorly-made teats would be ineffective and less durable.
This high-quality combined with the unique design has made the Genuine Pritchard Original Teat an international success over the last 5 decades, and they are used by farmers and animal raisers around the world to this day.
The Seator Family
Jack Pritchard kept his business in the family and left behind a legacy of hard-work and dedication, passing that on to his daughter Margaret. Margaret and her husband George Seator currently own and operate the business from their farm in Riverton, Southland, New Zealand.
While the business has dramatically grown in scale, the Seator family is still dedicated to the same level of quality that Jack prescribed. Quality assurance is practised carefully by the team to ensure that everyone ordering the teats receives the excellent level of quality they’ve come to expect. As the product grows in usage worldwide, the Seator family helps to make sure that everyone using the Genuine Pritchard Original Teat has a positive experience, no matter where they’re located.
